Event Highlights - Investment Themes

The Future of Money & Infrastructure

Nic Smalle unpacks the stablecoin opportunity: 700m Tether users, $400bn in global volume and rapid adoption across remittances and B2B transactions, with major incumbents like Mastercard and Stripe already moving to secure a position.

Alexia Yannopoulos then turns to trust infrastructure, a critical enabling layer for financial services where a $39bn Regtech market by 2030 is being transformed by AI-native fraud and compliance tools.

AI Reshaping Financial Services

Nic Smalle explores agentic AI already reshaping consumer behaviour today, with one in six purchases now made through AI-driven decision making rather than traditional browsing. This is creating a clear opportunity for institutions built around customer-first, API-driven service.

Hossam Abou Moussa follows with compelling data on how AI is accelerating growth for tech-enabled challengers, comparing Nu vs Itaú, Revolut vs Lloyds and Robinhood vs Charles Schwab on growth, margin and cost to acquire.

Where Value Sits in Distribution

Alexia Yannopoulos maps two connected growth themes: embedded finance, on track to grow from $145bn today to $600bn by 2030 as platforms build deeper, more valuable customer relationships, and B2B finance operating systems, where a single orchestration layer across ERP, payments and treasury is unlocking significant efficiency gains for finance teams.

The Great SaaS Bifurcation

Hossam Abou Moussa makes the case that AI is set to benefit, not threaten, a significant part of the software landscape. Using a clear framework based on data depth and workflow integration, he identifies which SaaS businesses are best positioned to grow and strengthen their advantage in an AI-driven market.
