Apis Leads Moneybox Employee Secondary Share Sale

Moneybox completes £45 million employee secondary share sale

Apis leads employee secondary share sale with participation from Salica Investments reinforcing institutional confidence in Moneybox’s long-term growth strategy

London 23rd July 2026 - Moneybox has successfully completed its £45 million secondary share sale through the London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market (PSM) built on the UK’s PISCES framework. The transaction confirms Moneybox’s valuation at c.£800 million (c.US$1.1 billion), approximately 45% higher than the valuation achieved at the company's last secondary share sale in 2024.

Apis Global Growth Fund III, for which Apis Partners Group (UK) Limited (“Apis”) acts as portfolio manager, was the lead investor and accounted for the majority of the transaction, increasing its investment in Moneybox following its initial investment in 2024. Salica Fulcrum Venture Capital LP has also made its first investment in Moneybox, expanding Salica’s backing of the business. Apis, as lead, and Salica Investments sit alongside existing institutional investors including; Fidelity International, 7RIDGE, Oxford Capital, Breega, Burda and CNP. The employee share sale and investor transaction was exclusively managed by Crowdcube.

The successful completion of the transaction reflects continued institutional confidence in Moneybox’s business performance, long-term strategy and future growth opportunities. It has also allowed long-serving Moneybox employees to realise some of the value they have helped create for the business over the past decade. No new capital was raised by Moneybox as part of this transaction as existing shares transferred from employee shareholders to institutional investors.

The increased valuation Moneybox has secured as a result of this activity has been driven by sustained business performance that has seen the organisation achieve consistent profitability year-on-year, reaching over £23 billion in assets under administration (AUA) and over 1.9 million customers as of the 30th June 2026.

As well as reinforcing Moneybox’s commitment to shareholder liquidity, the transaction serves as an important proof point for the potential of PISCES platforms such as the Private Securities Market, being used by established investors to make investments in high-growth private companies, marking an important milestone for the continued development of UK private capital markets.

Through this transaction, UK-based private equity firm Apis is making the majority investment, underscoring its conviction in Moneybox's management team, strategy and long-term growth prospects. The investment represents the largest commitment to date to a single company across Apis’ vehicles to date and further strengthens the firm’s position as one of the company's largest shareholders. This reflects its confidence in Moneybox's continued expansion as a leading UK digital wealth management platform. Apis will appoint a representative to Moneybox’s Board, further deepening its partnership with the company. As a firm focused on improving financial inclusion and broadening access to wealth-building opportunities, Apis was attracted to Moneybox's mission to democratise access to saving, investing and financial advice.

Ben Stanway, Co-Founder and Exec Chair at Moneybox:

The growing institutional backing that Moneybox is receiving is testament to the continued focus of our colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and create long-term shareholder value.

We are delighted to have successfully completed this transaction and welcome the increased support from Apis and Salica Investments. Their continued backing will help accelerate our next phase of growth as we harness technology and artificial intelligence to make high-quality financial support accessible at scale.

Matteo Stefanel, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Apis:

Since our initial investment, we have been consistently impressed by the strength of the management team, the pace of execution and the company's ability to scale profitably while maintaining a clear customer focus. Since we first engaged, Moneybox has grown its AUM from approximately £5 billion to nearly £25 billion, a fivefold increase that highlights both the quality of the platform and the significant demand for its offering. As we strengthen our involvement through board representation, we look forward to supporting the team as they continue building one of the UK's leading wealth management platforms.

Udayan Goyal, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Apis:

Our increased investment reflects Apis' strong conviction in Moneybox's long-term growth potential and reinforces our commitment as a long-term partner to the business. Moneybox’s mission to make saving, investing and financial advice more accessible aligns closely with Apis’ focus on expanding financial inclusion. We believe the company is exceptionally well positioned, especially driven by AI, to continue expanding access to wealth-building and financial wellbeing solutions across the UK, while playing a key role in the democratisation of finance.

Andrew Noyons, Managing Partner, Salica Investments:

Salica is committed to powering the UK’s innovation economy and is well aligned with the Mansion House Accord objectives to boost saver outcomes and deliver UK growth. Our investment in Moneybox and participation in this latest PISCES-led auction builds on that commitment by expanding the options available to the UK’s fast growing, innovation-driven businesses. By deepening our support for scaleups through PISCES and partners like Fulcrum, we’re ensuring that the UK’s most ambitious entrepreneurs have access to the capital solutions they need to grow and thrive.

Dame Julia Hoggett, CEO, London Stock Exchange plc:

We are delighted to be part of Moneybox’s growth journey and to support them as they provide long-serving employees with the opportunity to realise some of the value they have helped Moneybox to create. The Private Securities Market offers innovative options to private companies looking to provide liquidity to their different shareholders, while offering investors further routes to access high-growth private companies. We look forward to seeing more companies utilise the Private Securities Market to support their ambitions.
